Grand Rapids Free Dental Care Event: Smiles from the Heart
Every year, we set aside a day dedicated to giving back to our community. We call it Smiles from the Heart. On this day, we open our doors wider than usual to provide free dental cleanings, fillings, and extractions. We’re firm believers in the power of a smile and its ability to spread positivity and health. Through Smiles from the Heart, we aim to ensure that no one in our community is denied the opportunity for a healthier and more radiant smile.
Our next Smiles from the Heart event is on May 10, 2024. It's at our Contemporary Family Dental office, across from the Breton Village Shopping Center on the corner of Breton Road and Burton Street, Grand Rapids, MI. We'll be there from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm.
Smiles from the Heart is a yearly event for those without access to the care they desperately need. Attendees can choose between either:
- Free Dental Cleaning
- Free Filling
- Free Extraction

The compassionate and selfless care provided during Contemporary Family Dental's Free Dental Day is voluntarily offered by our devoted team. Our talented dentists, skilled hygienists, dedicated assistants, and warm-hearted front office staff all come together to serve the community we deeply love and are proud to be a part of.
Over the past ten years, our heartwarming event, Smiles from the Heart, across all our amazing sister locations, has generously provided a whopping total of $414,000 in dental services totally free of charge! This has brought smiles to the faces of 1,234 individuals in need. Just last year, in 2023, we managed to provide dental services worth $24,000, positively touching the lives of 70 individuals. Isn't that something?
